While MIDI-guitars have existed for a while, with the Studio MIDI Guitar, Zivix take the concept and push it to a completely new level. The headless Jamstik Studio MIDI Guitar is a 24-fret slice of ingenuity kitted out with a built-in HEX MIDI pickup that converts MIDI data to audio in real-time. But this guitar is no mere MIDI instrument, it's a fully-fledged electric guitar loaded with a pair of humbuckers, a coil-split switch that can be toggled to unleash single-coil sound, a three-way pickup switch for combining or isolating the neck and bridge pickups, and a standard jack output port. Fast Tracking & USB Connection + Charging

The high-speed HEX pickup accurately tracks the output of the guitar, analysing the pitch and immediately converting the result into MIDI. Since a USB-C port has also been fitted, this future-thinking guitar can be directly linked to a laptop or desktop computer to not only send and receive MIDI data, but to recharge the active electrics. Taking things even further, this original Jamstik design features a 3.5mm mini-jack TRS-MIDI port, Bluetooth functionality, and comes including Mac and Windows compatible Jamstik Creator software, which can be used as a standalone programme or as a DAW plug-in.

A Compact Yet Fully-Grown Instrument

The headless design not only makes this model nice and compact but reduces the scale length to just 32.5 inches (which is around three-quarters of the length of most standard electric guitars), making for a comfortable and manageable gigging or studio tool that even provides an integrated plectrum clip. The Jamstik Studio MIDI Guitar is available in black, white, blue, and orange, and there's a left-handed edition in black. Each model has a mahogany body fitted with a snug C-profile neck and a rosewood fretboard, completing one of the most flexible and adaptable six-strings on the face of planet Earth.
